This festival arise in 2004, to commemorate the CLXII Aniversary of La Gesta Heroica de Guaymas of July 13th 1854, when the community of Guaymas won against the french invasive forces commanded by Gaston de Raousset Conde de Boulbon, who pretended to seize Sonora and declare it independent land.
During this festival you can find a lot of artistic expressions such as movies, theater, dances, music, paintings a lot more. Workshops, conferences and civic events will also be part of the celebration. Some of the places that will be presenting this events are: The Touristic Boardwalk, Auditorio Fray Ivo Toneck, Municipal Public Library, Plaza 13 de Julio, Municipal Palace and some more.
